VOID TURNED TO MESSAGE - BIDROHA KO BIU ALBUM REVIEW
This Ep consists of 5 tracks where influences from bands like Heights, Trail of Lies can be seen all over. Opening with the track Bidroha ko biu, the first half of the intro sends cold shivers down your spine where their vocalist Mausam Sundash gives optimstic talks about the dawn of hope from a very fvcked up period of time full of disorder. And from the second half the very track strats their intense piece of hardcore music. The riffs and basslines are very catchy followed by some decent breakdowns. What makes this ep so heavy is the sickening screaming of Mausam sundash. You can feel the rage and agression as he screams like a man possessed giving rapture to year eardrums.
One of the strong point of this ep is the powerful writing that has strike to every Nepali listener. Something so pure, something so organic. All of those tracks are in Nepali language and mann i only wish i could translate those lyrics to foreign friends out there as strongly. Rage arise within you as VTTM deliever you about how cruel and cold people have been to each other and their Cynical way of life as time goes by seen in tracks 'Bidroha ko Biu', 'Agyani' and 'Mitrata' through their intense form of hardcore. One of the tracks from this ep totally soaked me completely in it and gave me alot of emotional alteration which came in form of third track , '21st Satabdi Achut'. This is about a social problem, Untouchabality, prevailing in Nepal early since the Monarchy rule in Nepal, generations past and still in present day this despicable act of human supremacy and domination still prevails in some rural areas of Nepal. And two of the band members (Voaclist Mausam Sundash and Guitarist Melson Biswakarma) and the generations of family fell prey of this inhuman act the rage, agression and pain of this track, I can't describe in words but one thing for sure that it drowns you in its rage and pain. One of the best things ever for me. And in their final outro track VTTM presented the change people in Eastern land are craving desperately: Poverty.
Considered by many as one of the most underrated bands out there, Void turned to message have thrilled people with this ep and gained some recognization from other parts of the world as well. Jawdropping piece of writing with tasty riffs and decent drummings and breakdowns, those basslines elevating their music (Yeah, I saw them live but with no bassist in their lineup; those tasty basslines all over this ep was a huge up) topped by the sick screams. This is a gem in my playlist and one of those few good things to happen in 2020. We hope Void turned to message keep on making more of this good stuffs with these meaningful messages. Of course they have kept people wanting more after their short ep and if you haven't checked it out yet, you're missing something really good. Go check em out now.
thank you guys.
